SciFi and Fantasy Art: Story Trilogy - Garaile the Griffin

Part of the artwork in my (as yet unnamed) story trilogy.
An anthropomorphised griffin character, one of the many bird-people inhabitating the fictional world in the trilogy.

He is of steel gray plumage with flecks of brown with tall, imposing and narrow wings held high. Lethal claws upoun gray hands and deadly hooked beak.

Drawn with ordinary HB pencil and colored.

20 Jul 2007	C. Hessman	Loading... Well this one looks very weird. Not loke the usual Griffins you see in elfwood. Is the character more a beast or an intelligent race? Caterina ''Guerra'' Oddell replies: "Garaile is part of a variety of humanoid-bird races, which includes griffin like beings, and anthropomorphised birds. They are intelligent creatures with their own customs and standards, much like humans."
25 Nov 2008	Henrik Sabelkatten Giese	Loading... You might want to try making the lion part larger - waist down usually looks good. And possibly have the feathers on the arms continue down to the elbow. Other than that the head and legs look very good!
