SciFi and Fantasy Art: Story Trilogy - Janis the Toukestrel

Part of the artwork for the trilogy of stories I am writing.

This is the humanoid bird Janis, the Toukestrel (a combination of the vivid colors of the toucan, and the deadly swiftness of a kestrel) in the fictional word of the story trilogy.

Janis is a steadfast freedom fighter, performing missions to liberate the oppressed and of course, plunder the gold from the bad guys. A dutiful, highly trained woman, her strength lies in her devotion to the memory of her murdered friend, Aegle.

Drawn with HB pencil, then redone in black ink.
